Service
Propane works anywhere — including homes without natural gas utility service — because the fuel is stored on-site in a tank rather than delivered through a utility line.
A propane installation includes a storage tank (sized to your generator's run-time needs), a regulator, and a line connecting the tank to the generator, as an alternative to a natural gas utility hookup.
Propane requires periodic refills and monitoring tank level, especially during an extended multi-day outage — this is a real tradeoff against natural gas's continuous supply.
